ATTIC IN MILAN

Project description

The main aim of this project was to make better use of the lower spaces of the attic.

A portion of the roof was cut out to create a new balcony, while other parts of the roof were raised to increase the internal height.

Furniture too played a role in achieving the objective: the bed in the child’s room was conceived as a shelter, transforming a dead space into a playground; in the main bedroom the night table was replaced by a low piece of furniture, thus giving the room an impression of greater depth.

As for the furniture design, the project respected the requirement to limit the budget by using low-cost materials such as plywood, refined with great care to details.
